As our time in Germany grew to a close, Chris and I went on several hikes in the area. True to Black Forest form, these hikes usually occurred in rain that ranged in intensity from a light drizzle to a torrential downpour. We were very happy to have a warm, dry place to go back to at the end of the day!
My raincoat is serving me very well!
Chris strikes off ahead as I lag behind. The rain really started to come down as I took this photo!
Coming back down the mountain was great--the rain stopped for a bit and we were able to have a great view of our small German village, Menzenschwand.
