I spent my Sophomore year of college studying abroad at L'université de Franche-Comté in Besançon, France. Despite my primary major being Biology, I chose this university for its well-known French language studies program. During this year in France, I only studied French language and culture and did not take any science classes, which was quite a bit of a change from my usual science-heavy course load! I was able to do this because I took some AP classes in High School, freeing me from having to take them during college, and also because I planned my college classes quite far in advance. This planning ahead allowed me to take some extra science classes before I left and after I came back to make up for the 'lost year' of no science classes.
In France, I lived in CROUS housing. CROUS is a company that offers budget housing marketed towards University students. I lived a ways from campus, which was in downtown Besançon, so I usually either biked (a solid 20 minute bike) or walked (about a 45 minute walk) to and from school every day. I made this video when I was living in Besançon to show some people what my daily walk was like and I thought you guys might be interested in seeing it! Please forgive the shaky camera work and the beginner editing skills, I'm still quite new to videography and this video was taken several years ago with no intention to show to a wider audience. Enjoy!
